VOLTAN™ 200 is an anhydrous, multifunctional specialty additive that is specifically designed to improve dispersion of active materials, conductive materials and other electronics slurries. It enables formulation of more stable slurries with reduced viscosity, optimized conductive network in finished electrode films, and enhanced film density due to optimal particle packing. When using VOLTAN 200, manufacturers can expect improved processing with higher active material loading at the same processing viscosity, enhanced electrochemical performance, and increased cell energy density. Unlike polymeric dispersants which reduce electronic conductivity of electrode film, VOLTAN 200 can evaporate during electrode film drying processes.
VOLTAN 200 can be used in multiple Lithium-ion battery applications, including, but not limited to:
- Dispersion of carbon-based materials such as carbon black (CB), carbon nanotubes (CNT)
- Dispersion and anti-cracking of active materials such as cathode material slurry
- Active constituents 60%
- Appearance Clear Liquid
- Color Colorless to Yellow
- Solubility in NMP Miscible
- Freezing point < -20°C
